cutplay Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator of cutplay (the “Company”) and members in connection with the use of the vertical drama streaming service “cutplay” (cutplay.app, the “Service”) provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

① “Member” means a person who agrees to these Terms and signs up with a social account (Google, Kakao, etc.). ② “Content” means the short and series videos posted on the Service together with their accompanying information. ③ “Cash” and “viewing passes” mean in-service currency used to watch paid episodes.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

① The Company posts these Terms within the Service. ② The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that no applicable law is violated, and when doing so will announce the effective date and the reasons for the amendment at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days for changes unfavorable to members).

Article 4 (Accounts)

① Sign-up is completed through social account authentication, and you automatically become a member upon first login. ② Members may not transfer or lend their account to any third party. ③ The Company may restrict the use of accounts confirmed to involve identity theft or fraudulent use.

Article 5 (Provision and Changes of the Service)

① The Company provides features such as content viewing, watch history and favorites, and new-episode notifications. ② The Company may change or discontinue the Service as operationally or technically necessary, and will give prior notice of material changes. ③ During the trial operation period before the official launch, some features of the Service may change without notice.

Article 6 (Paid Services: Cash and Viewing Passes)

① Members may top up Cash to watch paid episodes. ② Payments and refunds follow applicable laws (such as the E-Commerce Act) and the guidance provided within the Service. Unused topped-up Cash may be refunded to the extent provided by law; currency granted free of charge through events is not refundable. ③ Currency granted free of charge may have an expiration period set by the Company.

Article 7 (Content and Intellectual Property)

① The copyright in Content belongs to the author who posted the Content or to the Company. ② Members may use Content only within the scope of private viewing and may not reproduce, distribute, or make secondary use of it without authorization.

Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)

Members must not engage in any of the following: using another person’s account; abnormal use of the Service (including macros, abusive behavior, and fraudulent receipt of invitation rewards); unauthorized extraction, recording, or distribution of Content; or interfering with the operation of the Service. In the event of a violation, the Company may take measures such as restricting use and reclaiming fraudulently obtained currency.

Article 9 (Limitation of Liability)

① The Company is not liable for Service interruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters or telecommunications failures. ② The Company is not liable in connection with the use of services provided free of charge, unless otherwise specifically provided by law.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any dispute arising in connection with the use of the Service shall be brought before the court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

These Terms apply from 2026-08-07 (draft — to be replaced with the final version at official launch).
